Democrats Quick to Politicize Tragic School Shooting

By Javier Manjarres

FEINSTEINEven as investigators were still sorting out the grizzly crime scene in Newtown CT which took the lives of 20 schoolchildren and at least seven other adults, Democrats and their supporters in the anti-gun lobby were quick to politicize the tragedy and seizing the opportunity to assert a new for additional new gun control regulations.  Senator Dianne Feinstein (D) will likely be spearheading a new effort in 2013  that will open up a “thoughtful debate about America’s gun culture.”

Recent government studies have shown that these types of mass shooting are in decline, in part because of stepped up law enforcement efforts to curtail these types of shootings. Throughout Obama’s presidency, gun and ammunition sales have hit record levels as many Americans believe their second amendment rights are in jeopardy-

“I hope and trust that in the next session of Congress there will be sustained and thoughtful debate about America’s gun culture and our responsibility to prevent more loss of life” –Senator Dianne Feinstein (Fox News)

Could President Obama sidestep any congressional roadblocks and implement his own executive orders that effectively set policy and satisfy his anti-gun lobby?

As President Obama used his weekly Saturday address to repeat his impassioned but vague call to take “meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this,” some gun-control advocates said they hoped that the shooting would be a catalyst for change. - NY Times

The same Times report lists other prominent Democrats who are demanding stiffer gun control measures, but much to their dismay, the Second Amendment is not solely supported by Republicans, but also by both Independents and Democrat voters.

HBO bigmouth Bill Maher also offered his two pesos on the tragedy via Twitter-

Sorry but prayers and giving your kids hugs fix nothing; only having the balls to stand up to our insane selfish gun culture will. – Bill Maher

Inane remarks about “prayers” and “giving your kids hugs fixing nothing” aside, Maher once again proves that he is invincibly ignorant and has no meaningful insight to offer anyone.  The more we learn about the circumstances surrounding this tragic and horrific episode, the more it is apparent that this incident is no more a part of this country’s “gun culture” than vehicular homicides caused by drunk driving are part of our “automobile culture.”

Please share the post. Thanks.

Of course the Communists, I mean Democrats are rallying for more un-Constitutional gun control “laws”.

They love events like the massacre at the school as it plays right into their hand book of order out of chaos. They push for “Gun Free Zones” which are really “Defenseless Victim Zones,” knowing full well some drugged up nut-case is going to show up some day and kill a bunch of people, even better if it’s little kids.

This is the insidious nature of the socialist. They know they can never realize their ambitions of turning America into a socialist slave camp when the people still have the power to fight back. Many people will fall for this ploy. There will be more massacres like this in the near future as there are many “Gun Free Zones” all over America just waiting for the next nut-case who wants to be in the newspapers.

Until “government learns to respect the Constitution and the LAW this is how it’s going to be.

OK, there smart guy, so how do we keep guns out of the hands of “drugged up nut cases”?
      Let’s hear your plans.

      • uselogic December 17, 2012 at 12:11 pm

You mean such as yourself? I’d say institutionalization.

      • John Henke December 20, 2012 at 2:10 pm

My plan? Respect the Constitution; in this case it would be the Second Amendment. How to keep guns out of the hands of drugged up nut cases? I would kill them with my gun and remove their gun from their cold dead fingers. And I’d have another gun in my collection.

        Rich,

Wake up, buddy! Our votes are no longer valid (massive vote fraud this last round) and the only thing we have left to protect/defend ourselves from government is our right to bear arms. If this government takes that away from us, what will we have left to protect ourselves from them? The eneny is not the crazy people or guns. We’ll all ways have both as long as manking exists. The real enemy and problem is government control over us. Look at the history of humanity if you don’t believe me. The only thing that has changed in the past 2 to 3,000yrs is the ability of governnment and religion to completely destroy our world! We haven’t learned our lesson, yet!

This government could give a crap about you or me or the dead children. Some of the kids was taking their last breath of life when government started the gun control crap! Despicable!! They only want our money and control over us. Don’t be a blind fool!

      You are right.
Thanks for putting in in a nutshell (no pun intended there!) for us.

When is the last (or first time) you heard of Law Enforcement arriving in time to PREVENT THE CARNAGE! In real life they arrive to help survivors, gather evidence and control crowds.
Not their fault, just the way it is! Nor does Gun Control stop the EVIL from gaining weapons or using bombs, fire, knives, rocks or their bare hands!
Weapons in the hands of trained citizens are OUR BEST DEFENSE!

    • AmericaBeautiful December 17, 2012 at 12:20 pm

      Thank you for saying it.

    • John Henke December 20, 2012 at 7:18 pm

The police are always after the fact, that’s just the way it is. You’re exactly right, in all they can do is question survivors and gather evidence and help to try to figure out who done it and bring the bastard to justice.

The police are not our bodyguards. They don’t have the capacity to stop criminals; they just have the capacity to help bring them to justice. We are our body guards.

If someone kicks down my front door right now, I grab my 357 from my sock drawer and put a round in his chest. Then I have time to call the cops and we’ll figure it out together. And as always, they will arrive after the fact.

This incident is truly a tragedy, but the guns did not jump up and do the killings, just as the knives in Russia and China were not to blame on the attacks in those countries on the same day and the days before.
These were the crimes of depraved individuals that have grown up in Godless immoral societies that show little value for Human life other than the political rhetoric designed to achieve the goals of Secular Humanists one world government types, that cannot win without first disarming us all and leaving us open to even more violent tragedy; as in regimes of the recent past that killed Millions after taking away their Arms. I was 15 when the last Prayers in our Schools were uttered legally, and this type of massacre was not existent at that time or before when there were more guns in the homes and the vehicles of students than can easily be counted. Since then the Nation has been sliding backwards into the abyss of intolerance, violence, flagrant promiscuity, extreme violence in entertainment media, and the restriction and removal of Christianity, not Islam. The Most immoral and untruthful of our Citizens (our Politicians) will now embark on another Crusade to divert our attention from the true causes of violence and concentrate on the most unlikely candidate for blame, the instrument used, which in this case is a gun; but might and has been Cars fire, Knives, Bats or bludgeons of all types, Chain saws, and Poison. This difference is that only Guns present a direct threat to tyranny.

We all know from experience that no liberal will ever allow a tragic event to go unused. Funny that bill maher won’t look at the entertainment industry and the promotion of violent movies and games. I don’t believe in banning these, I just believe individual parents should control more of what is appropriate for their kids depending on their maturity and mental health. As far as guns, they are a tool only, not the cause. Based on liberal logic, all men should lose their penis as they have the potential to rape…let’s start with maher.

  5. Clueless and Conniving Democrats December 17, 2012 at 8:39 am

The events in Newtown were tragic. Compounding the tragedy is the pandering and clueless reactions of the Democrats. The proliferation of firearms will never be stopped by political measures. Besides nefarious criminals, the unstable and mentally ill use guns to commit violence. Any laws Barry and his Deomocrat cronies contrive to pass in Washington, they will be ineffective.

  6. Nancy Celano December 17, 2012 at 8:47 am

All the legal firearms in the country can be confiscated by the government, and the next day illegal guns will be flooding over the borders again. It is the bad guys we must be wary of, not hunters, etc.

  7. Nancy Celano December 17, 2012 at 8:52 am

More efficient security measures must be incorporated by schools, whether we like it or not. Windows should be replaced with shatter-proof glass in which criss-cross wire is embedded, alarms should be placed on all outer steel doors including to the roof, there should be no skylights on the roof, there should be a trained armed guard patrolling the halls at all times, and frequent police patrols around the school grounds. The kids must be kept safe, by any means.

    • John Henke December 20, 2012 at 6:58 pm

Good idea. And if the school ever closes we’ll just put bunk beds in the class rooms and use it for a prison.

How about this. Close the communist government schools. Abolish 90% of all “government” and associated taxation. Dad can support the family and Mom can take care of the kids at home. If educational services are desired the market place will answer the demand. Why not de-institutionalize education. The communist government schools don’t actually educate now, rather they just condition and indoctrinate.

I say let this whole rotten system go down, it’s time to start anew and it won’t happen until the old has died its long overdue death.

  8. Sandi Trusso December 17, 2012 at 9:44 am

Before these clueless lawmakers jump on the “gun control” bandwagen, they need to take a look at what we’re doing to the minds of our children (both in, and out, of school). The minds of the innocents are being destroyed, after which they become the adults of society who care for NO ONE, but THEMSELVES!

My take on “why all the violence in America today”:
    1) God has been abandoned
    2) In most homes just to survive, both parents must work and no one is home with the children (they’re raised by strangers, the values of which we know nothing).
    3) Abortion (murdering babies in the womb) and other laws (freeing people in 3 weeks to 3 months, who molest children… placing people in mental institutions to get out in 2 years, who murder children. Like Andrea Yates for only one example… ) have shown children that they are dispensible unless we choose to let them live. Generally speaking they have no sense of respect for any life, including their own.
    4) Also, generally speaking, white, American males are the most discriminated against people in our country, and many have been emasculated by feminists! They have no sense of what it is to be a man… in many cases they’re not even allowed to play Dodge Ball in school, because it’s “too violent”. These relatively harmless sports release pent up anger, etc.
    5) Children are not taught respect, responsibility, kindness toward others (and these things are not enforced or reinforced).
    6) Spanking children (not talking about beating children, or other abuse) is not allowed, because “it teaches violence”, but since this has become the legal law of the land violence has increased to the point that the halls of our schools are spattered with the blood of our children, and most of the time this violence is committed by other children!… Violence and bullying are prevelant in the world of our children today, and these kids get by with it (thank you ACLU for much of this)
    7) Violent video games desensitize children to murder, as they obtain points for murdering. AND BY THE WAY, THE CT. SHOOTER WAS A HUGE FAN OF VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES!
I could go on for days, but these are just a few things that need to be taken care of. Our children have been destroyed and these kooks are still going after them to further the culture of violence. (and I believe the ACLU is responsible for most of this!)

So true ! You cannot legislate morality. Weakening of religious institutions by legislating the heck out of what they can and cannot do weakens the family. Once strong family is lost, there is not moral bearing to guide these individuals that commit such heinous crimes.Additional you are right on when it comes to today’s so called “entertainment” media. Those reality shows promote, as you so succinctly articulated “flagrant promiscuity, extreme violence”. Today’s big news is JC marrying Ashley. Who the heck cares and who the heck are these people ? Putting together bunch of men and women in a reality show promoting nothing but sexual promiscuity in the name of freedom is outrageous. Kids grow up thinking that this is apporpriate behavior. Would a churchgoing or templegoing parent allow their child to behave this way ? In my opinion, a responsible and vigilant society respecting faith and family could prevent many of these incidences. Granted – these are long term solutions but there is no quick fix.

Where are all the Cuban emigrees on this issue?

Having escaped communist tyranny to benefit and thrive in our Land of the Free, ALL Cubans should be vociferous and ubiquitous on every news outlet, and defend our right to protect ourselves and families.

  11. Whats_Up December 19, 2012 at 3:41 pm

It is official – the “new and improved” talking points from the Socialist Control Freaks: “The MAJORITY of Americans want these high-powered guns OFF the streets and lower capacity clips” …technically they are mags (magazines) – NOT clips.

And where is the MSM on the 40 PLUS murders per week in Chicago?
    CRICKETS !!!
