Obama Threatens Unilateral Action on Climate Change in SOTU

by Lone Shark

sotuobamaWhen President Barack Obama leaves office in January of 2016, he will be remembered by conservatives as a highly polarizing ideologue who was scornful of the constitutional restraints that limited his authority as president.  This evening’s SOTU speech only reaffirmed his well-deserved reputation that has effectively split the country along many fault lines.

One agenda item from Obama’s SOTU was his affirmative commitment to tackle the so called problem of climate change.   Obama indicated that if Congress didn’t act on the issue, he would take action- in all likelihood, he would attempt to enact tougher regulations that further stifle energy production and businesses through the Environmental Protection Agency.

“We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy, and the most severe drought in decades, and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen, were all just a freak coincidence,” said Obama. “Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science — and act before it’s too late.” – President Barack Obama

Never failing to exploit a crisis as a rationale for government action.  Claiming you have a “mandate” or the “overwhelming judgement of science” behind your reasoning when you really don’t- it’s going to be a long four years for the country.

A quarter of the way through Obama’s speech I switched to HGTV. His words were the same old redundant lies and threats. What a crock he is! Does he expect us to push back the icebergs or wave a magic wand to change the weather patterns? Everything about climate and weather is cyclical. What did global warming have to do with the blizzard up north? I remember storms when we were kids that dropped four feet of snow. It is winter. My dad, a farmer, loved when it snowed. He called it the poor farmer’s fertilizer. God, please spare us all Obama’s phoniness and bloviating!

How simple minded can you get? “We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy, and the most severe drought in decades, and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen, were all just a freak coincidence,” said Obama. “Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science…” The overwhelming judgement of honest scientists is that there is no cause and effect connection between global warming and the weather disturbances. Honest scientists have now established that there have been eight (8) cyclical ice ages and warm periods in earth’s history due to solar activity, not connected in any way to carbon dioxide, and they have predicted that the next one is in our near future, not mentioned in the socialist controlled media. But socialists like Obama have been using current temporary global warming as an excuse to shut down energy production, kill free enterprise, and convert the world to the failed ideology of socialism.

Sheesh. And they call US anti-science? Since when does science involve “judgement” and “consensus”? The science I learned involves something called “the scientific method”, which requires that an experiment isolate the phenomena being tested and be able to be duplicated by other scientists.

Fun science fact: What gas accounts for 95%+ of all greenhouse gases?

    Answer: water vapor

I saw someplace that human activity accounts for about 1% of all carbon dioxide emissions on this planet.

So what ever happened to “global warming”? Now it’s “climate change”. It’s like th2008 election. Everyone was for “change” but too stupid to ask, changing to what? But whatever it was, “change” was good.

Now it’s “moving forward” to where, nobody knows but by God we’ll keep moving! Now there is climate change but nobody seems to know what it’s changing into but, that’s bad!

So screw everybody and keep trying to start the carbon exchange scam and maybe the climate will stop changing. It’s just another cog in the wheel that all of these traitors have been turning for a long time. Obongo is just the latest front man.
