Democrat gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist has show outraged over the recent alleged racially insensitive “mock Mexican accents” used by two of Governor Rick Scott’s campaign staffers while en route to a campaign event being held at a Mexican restaurant.
Scott’s former finance chairman Miguel Fernandez, who made the allegations, said that the staffers used “mock Mexican accents” in conversation in the back of a vehicle prior to the event.Crist has hypocritically said that “if I were the head of the campaign on the other side, or Rick Scott, those people would have been fired already.”
In a previous Shark Tank story, we pointed out Crist’s 2009 hypocrisy when Crist was Governor and the top Republican in the state. Crist demanded that embattled Republican Party boss Jim Greer not resign, even after allegations of his defrauding of the state Republican Party hit the press.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Greer was later arrested for fraud, and then plead guilty to several charges of money laundering, fraud, and theft.”
Now Crist is silent about the ongoing racist “lawn boy” remarks that his close friend and confidant, liberal Daily Kos blogger Peter Schorsch has been making against everyone’s favorite, and dashingly good-looking conservative reporter, me.Before I started the Shark Tank website, I owned a landscape design business. Yes, I was, and still am one of those small American business owners. The business specifically designed, mapped out, removed and installed home landscapes, but never maintained grass, or “lawn mowing” as Schorsch contends.
Schorsch is married to disgraced former Republican Party of Florida staffer, former Charlie Crist for U.S. Senate staffer, and current Crist gubernatorial staffer, Michelle Todd.
Schorsch is very close to Crist. Schorsch is a full fledged Crist supporter, who has attended numerous political events and a few book signings with Crist, even or Crist 2014 gubernatorial campaign launch in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Yes Charlie, we all agree that “there’s no place for discrimination in Florida or this country,” but what are you going to do about your boy Peter? There’s no place for discrimination in Florida or this country … if I were the head of the campaign on the other side, or Rick Scott, those people would have been fired already.”-Charlie Crist
Here are some of Schorsch’s tweets:
@THESHARKTANK1 It’s one of the many places you once edged and mow outside of… @anthonypedicini

There’s still an hour of light left, @THESHARKTANK1; that means you can edge and mow at least 2 more lawns.
— Peter Schorsch (@SaintPetersblog) February 1, 2013
By the way, @THESHARKTANK1, the redesign of your website looks like shit. An illiterate lawn boy could have done better. Oh wait…
— Peter Schorsch (@SaintPetersblog) January 6, 2014
.@THESHARKTANK1 Always nice to talk to you. I’ll tell Charlie you promise a good price on mowing the lawn outside the Governor’s mansion.
— Peter Schorsch (@SaintPetersblog) February 1, 2013
Why was @TheSharkTank1 at the #JJ2012 Dinner in the first place? Did someone need their lawn mowed? #sayfie
— Peter Schorsch (@SaintPetersblog) July 15, 2012
For the record, lawn boy (@THESHARKTANK1), I predicted a Rubio win in Aug. 09. It’s called objectivity, you might have to look that up to.
— Peter Schorsch (@SaintPetersblog) May 28, 2013
I wonder how many Republican or Democrat, black or white, Hispanic or non-Hispanic landscape business owners and employees have donated to Crist’s Senate and gubernatorial campaigns, and find these remarks by Schorsch ignorant and offensive? Just a thought.
Crist can’t fire him, because he isn’t on the campaign payroll, but Schorsch does benefit from the fact that Crist pays his wife Michelle.
Still, where is Crist’s outrage over Schorsch’s ongoing racially insensitive “lawn mowing” references towards me?
Why doesn’t Crist reign in Michelle Todd?
It’s obvious that Todd, who formally represents Crist, condones her husbands racist remarks, because if she didn’t, she would not allow him to post them.
Does Crist also support Schorsch racially insensitive remarks?
The same thing can be question of Crist, who knows that he is inextricably tied to the couple, after he officiating their wedding a couple years ago.
One point that I should make is this. In 2005 and 2006, when I was servicing my landscaping customers needs, Peter Schorsch was serving a sentence of two years of house arrest and three years of probation, after pleading guilty to fraud. (Source)
Schorsch, who was also arrested in 2006 for writing 16 worthless checks totaling more than $1,200 for cash at Publix, late pleaded guilty to fraud.
But now it seems that Crist really doesn’t mind that his friends and staffers make racially insensitive remarks, after all, he just hired on Democrat Cesar Fernandez, who recently worked on St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman’s campaign, and tweeted that Kriseman did not need the African American vote to win.
Fernandez later apologized for making this statement.
