Democrat congressional candidate Gwen Graham has been grabbing news headlines with the amount of campaign cash she has been able to raise, effectively out raising her opponent, Republican Congressman Steve Southerland.
But now Southerland is reporting a big campaign donation haul of his own.Southerland’s campaign announced that it raised $509,000 this past quarter, which just about matched Graham’s total raised. Southerland has about $1.2 million cash-on-hand, while Graham has about $1.4 million on-hand.
This is one of he closest watched raises in the nation, and could turn out to be as contentious as the recent special congressional election between Republican Congressman David Jolly and former Florida CFO Alex Sink.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Jolly won his race by a razor-thin margin.
While Southerland is firmly in favor of fully repealing Obamacare, Graham appears to have flip-flopped on her support of the Healthcare law.
Graham has now gone on record of saying that she would support the “Keep Your Health Plan Act,” a bill that her opponent Congressman Southerland co-sponsored.“If in Congress today, I would support the Keep Your Health Plan Act,” Graham said in a statement. “It is an issue of fairness and the right thing to do. People were promised that they could keep their health care plan, if they liked it. That promise should be kept. My commitment to the people of North Florida is to keep the promises I make. The President should keep his.”-Gwen Graham in the Weekly Standard.
In case you are thinking about going to Gwen Graham’s website to review her positions on the issues that affect all Americans, let me save you some time, and tell you not to go. Unlike Congressman Southerland, ever since  Graham launched her congressional campaign, she  has yet to post an “Issues” page on the website.
