Shortly after U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) finished another climate-change awareness meeting in Jacksonville, Florida, Nelson addressed questions from the media, but when an Conservative activist (not a reporter) asked Nelson his thoughts about Charlie Crist wouldn’t debate former State Senator Nan Rich in the Democrat gubernatorial primary, Nelson shut it down.
Instead of answering the question, Nelson ignored it, and simply walked away.Nelson, who recently became the first Democrat to openly support Senator Marco Rubio’s Veteran Affairs Management Accountability Act, has recently said that he was “tempted” into giving Crist and Rich a primary challenge.
As we mentioned earlier, if Nelson is going to enter the Democrat gubernatorial primary race, he has until May 2 June 20 to file the paperwork.
